SoNextYear Studio is a feature-filled AI platform built specifically for surface pattern designers, textile artists, and creative entrepreneurs. It acts as your creative co-pilot, handling the tedious, time-consuming aspects of pattern design—like flawless seamless tiling and high-resolution upscaling—so you can focus on the art itself.
-
Our Pattern Analysis tool acts like an expert curator for your portfolio. It scans your generated or uploaded designs and breaks down the core elements—identifying the exact color palettes, aesthetic themes, and stylistic terminology. This is incredibly helpful for understanding what makes your patterns work, replicating your unique style in future prompts, or finding the perfect keywords for your marketplace listings.
-
Yes. The AI driving SoNextYear Studio is configured to synthesize new, original seamless patterns based on your unique prompts and structural parameters. It is an idea-generation and rendering engine, not a search engine, ensuring that the outputs you create are fresh, unique representations of your creative vision.
-
Absolutely. We do not store your credit card information on our servers. All transactions are securely processed through trusted, top-tier global payment gateways, ensuring your financial data is fully encrypted and protected at all times.
-
Your security is our top priority. The platform utilizes industry-standard, bank-level encryption to protect your account and your private vault. Our infrastructure is built on closed-loop, enterprise-grade systems, meaning your data is isolated, protected, and completely under your control.
-
Not at all. The studio is built to be a time-saving tool, not a replacement for the human artist. Think of it as a highly capable studio assistant. It takes your creative direction, color preferences, and stylistic prompts, and handles the heavy lifting of mathematical tiling and rendering. You are always the art director.
-
Creating the pattern is only half the battle; selling it is the other. The studio includes built-in marketing tools that analyze your designs and automatically generate engaging social media captions, professional product descriptions, and catchy taglines. It is designed to help you get your work out of your vault and onto your Instagram feed or creative marketplace with zero writer's block.
-
Yes! The studio features a robust mockup generator. You can instantly apply your seamless patterns to high-quality interior mockups and fabric drapes, allowing you (and your clients) to see exactly how your designs will look in the real world before you ever go to print.
-
You own it entirely. You have full commercial rights to use, print, license, and sell any patterns or upscales you generate within the studio. It is your creative output. To further protect your ownership, certain tiers also include a custom watermark feature, allowing you to automatically apply your own branding or logo to any work you produce before you share it online.
-
To let you work seamlessly across your devices, your generated patterns and uploads are saved to your own private, encrypted vault within the studio. Nobody else has access to this vault—including the SoNextYear team. We cannot see your private gallery, and we will never use your stored files for marketing or public display without your explicit permission. You have complete control to manage or delete your files at any time. That being said, we do want to champion our users! In the near future, we will be launching an optional "Community Showcase" on the website. This will be a completely opt-in space where you can choose to share your favorite creations, promote your design business, and connect with other artists as our community grows.
-
Absolutely not. This was a non-negotiable when building the studio. We operate on a secure, closed-loop system via Enterprise APIs. Your vault of designs is yours alone. Your reference uploads and final generations are never fed back into public AI models for training.

In the current Phase 1 Beta, the studio focuses on generating flat, flawlessly tiled 2000px by 2000px seamless patterns. (Pro-tip: Just type the shortcut SP in your prompt to instantly lock in this format!) However, isolating motifs is coming next. Our Phase 2 update (rolling out June through September) introduces a dedicated PNG Motif Creator and layer system for individual element control.
-
You can currently export high-resolution PNGs and JPGs, which includes your premium 4K upscales. We are also exploring vectorization (SVG) exports for the Phase 2 rollout.
